Hiding in hills somewhere in the centre of Kosovo is Janjevo (Janjeva), a place whose unusually diverse cultural history can still be heard in the different languages spoken in its winding dusty streets, in the wood and plaster and stone of the buildings, and in the different tastes and experiences you can now try when you visit.
As well as working to stimulate multi-ethnic education for children, The Ideas Partnership is promoting sustainable tourism in Janjev@, a rare and lovely place where you can hike or ride in the hills, sleep in a traditional room, try some new tastes, and watch a craftsman making the unique souvenir you’ll be taking home.
